Research & Reports
Research for businesses making decisions about what comes next.
SEVN7 Intelligence Research produces original reports, evidence-led analysis, frameworks and practical tools exploring the technologies changing how organisations operate, invest and compete.
The aim is to separate evidence from assumption, translate technical change into business consequence and help leaders decide what deserves action now – and what can wait.

You do not need more technology predictions.
You need better evidence for the decisions in front of you.
You need to understand:
- which developments are relevant
- what the organisation should prepare for
- where technology could create value
- what risks need managing
- what should be invested in now
- which decisions can wait
- how customer and employee expectations are changing
- what capabilities the business will need next
Featured research programme
Editorial planning — report statuses require confirmation.
Every flagship publication should own one clear leadership question and show its publication status: AVAILABLE, UPCOMING or IN DEVELOPMENT. Only published research should be presented as available.
Business AI Readiness Report
A practical view of the foundations organisations need across leadership, use cases, data, systems, people, governance, implementation and measurement before AI can become trusted business infrastructure.
From Discovery to Choice
How people discover, research, compare, validate and choose businesses across connected digital environments – and where organisations create or lose momentum.
Search Intelligence Research
The environments shaping how people find, research, evaluate and choose businesses, supported by the SEVN7 Discovery-to-Choice Map.
AI Agents in Business
A leadership guide to agent roles, levels of autonomy, workflow design, data access, human approval, ownership, governance and measurable value.
Technology Investment and Business Value
A framework for evaluating software, AI and automation opportunities against operational value, commercial potential, feasibility, risk, ownership and future advantage.
Intelligent Business Systems
Research into what happens when data, knowledge, AI, workflows, decisions and actions become connected across the organisation.
Website Intelligence
Research into websites as decision environments: architecture, migration, performance, search, conversion, governance, platform choice and the operating model required to keep digital products useful after launch.
Publication cards should clearly show whether a report is available, upcoming or in development. Only live reports should use an “Explore the report” action.
Research by business question
- Where should we begin with AI?
- Could an agent remove meaningful work?
- How are buyers changing?
- What technology should we own?
- How should we govern intelligent systems?
- How do we turn data into better decisions?
- How should we invest without building the wrong thing?
Research by industry
Industry briefings connect wider technology change with sector-specific operating pressures, customer expectations, use cases, readiness, governance, workforce implications and investment priorities.
Priority research sectors at launch:
- professional services
- manufacturing and engineering
- construction and the built environment
- retail and ecommerce
- marketing, media and agencies
The SEVN7 Intelligence research standard
Major research should make the evidence trail visible and distinguish evidence from interpretation.
What changed?
Define the development, market shift or operating question the research is investigating.
What does the evidence show?
Use current, attributable sources or original research and explain methodology, sample, assumptions and limitations where relevant.
What does it mean for the business?
Translate the evidence into operational, technical, commercial or governance consequences without overstating certainty.
What decision or action should follow?
Give the reader a practical route into assessment or action while keeping the research useful in its own right.
Publication trust
Flagship report pages should show publication date, evidence date, methodology, sources or endnotes, author or research owner, technical reviewer where appropriate, version, material limitations and update history.
Evidence freshness
Fast-moving AI, regulation, platform and technology material can become stale quickly. Research should therefore record when evidence was reviewed and update material claims when the underlying position changes.
Report + framework + tool + conversation
A flagship publication can be supported by an executive summary, framework visual, scorecard or working tool, briefing deck and relevant assessment route. The report itself should remain evidence-led rather than becoming disguised sales material.
From research to action
Research feeds the wider SEVN7 operating engine. It helps the organisation Understand the change, informs what might be Built, defines evidence that can help Prove assumptions, and creates new signals that support Evolve. It should not create a second competing company methodology.
Research may reveal that the organisation needs to assess AI use, improve data readiness, review an existing platform, connect systems, map a customer journey or develop a phased technology roadmap.
Each report should provide a useful route into action without becoming a disguised sales document.
Useful enough to read. Practical enough to apply.
Some research may be openly available. Detailed toolkits or working frameworks may require basic professional information.
Access should remain simple, and readers should understand exactly what they will receive.
